Meghan grew up in Houston and prior to vet school, she attended Trinity University in San Antonio for her undergraduate studies. After graduation, Dr. Meghan Minor went to Auburn University as a veterinary intern in medicine and surgery. Before joining the professionals here at Hometown Animal Care, Meghan worked for four years at a small animal practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has a special interest in small animal internal medicine as well as wound care and pain management.
Dr. Minor’s devotion to animals is evident not only in her love of veterinary medicine, but also in her personal life–she has a mellow Labrador retriever named Mason and a boisterous terrier mix named Roscoe. She also loves to hang out with her affectionate tabby cat named Scatter.
Dr. Minor loves to travel often and has visited over 40 of the 50 states. She recently moved back to Texas from Las Vegas and is very happy to be back in the Lone Star state with friends and family. Any chance she has, Dr. Minor is by the water, enjoying either swimming, kayaking, or just playing with friends, family and pets.

Dr. Tom Sutton, a native of the Texas Hill Country, is a 1978 graduate of Texas A&M University. After practicing in the Houston area for 5 years, Dr. Sutton came to Austin in 1983 where he has devoted his time, care, experience, and love for practicing veterinary medicine for the past 24 years.
Dr. Sutton was the founder of Northwest Austin Veterinary Center, Lakeline Animal Care, and a co-founder of the Emergency Animal Clinic of Northwest Austin. He and his wife, Denise, have been married for 25 years and have two sons attending Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
The Hometown Animal Care facility opened in June, 2006 in Pflugerville Texas. It is truly a state-of-the-art operation with a 8,000 square foot hospital, 3,000 square foot dog kennel, 45 runs which can hold 2 dogs, plus 4 large runs which can accomodate up to 4 dogs. Their cat boarding “suites” are second to none including furniture and a window in every suite!

Dr. David Weaver, DVM is an Austin native and attended Westwood High School in Round Rock. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 from Texas A&M University.
Upon graduation, Dr. Weaver spent 2 years in the Texas Hill Country in Brady, and also spent time practicing in Dallas before returning to his home town area. He joined Dr. Sutton in private practice in Northwest Austin in 1999 and has been at Hometown Animal Care since its opening in 2006.
Dr. Weaver enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine including prevatative healthcare and internal medicine, and has a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Adriana Mendoza, DVM recently joined the staff at Hometown Animal Care, in Pflugerville, Texas. Her nickname is Adri, pronounced Audrey. She completed her undergraduate education at University of Texas, Austin, in 2002 and then attended Texas A&M Veterinary school receiving her DVM in 2006.

Dr. Christina Morelli, DVM recently joined the staff at Hometown Animal Care in Pflugerville, Texas.
Dr. Morelli graduated magna cum laude in May of 2005 from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She completed her clinical internship at the San Antonio Zoo and her externship training at the Houston Zoological Gardens.
With the trend towards exotic pets today Dr. Morelli is high qualified and experienced in treating a wide variety of pets including avians, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, dogs, and cats.
